Bang Wai Mountain Raw Pu-erh Tea
Tea time! Brewing up some Bang Wai Mountain Raw Pu-erh tea cake gong fu style. What a treat. This was given to me as a gift from my dad and says it comes from 2024 Yunnan sourcing (I think he got it from a Seattle tea shop).
At first it was overly bitter and I was worried I put wayyyy to many tea leaves in the teapot. Then as the steeps went on, it really opened up and became super enjoyable. Starting with bitterness the first couple steeps, morphing into funky greenness, and then lighter charred pear notes. Delightful. A little bummed this is my last bit of this tea.
I have very little experience brewing Pu-erh’s so forgive me if I messed this up in anyway and let me know if you have any tips in the comments or what you'd like to see in future tea reviews! :)
